Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue
A Phoenix-based Rescue Group Dedicated to finding loving, life-long homes for displaced Labrador Retrievers.
DLRR is an all-volunteer, Federal
501(c)(3) non-profit rescue organization for Labrador Retrievers in Phoenix and most areas of Arizona. In addition to rescue, our volunteers provide medical care and/or rehabilitation for these dogs and then attempt to match them with appropriate, permanent homes. Through public education, we strive to help eliminate pet overpopulation by encouraging the spaying/neutering of pets.
Help DLRR meet our goal of raising $2,000 for our Labs by joining our team or donating to the 2010 PetWalk!
The PetSmart Charities PetWalk draws people and pets together in a healthy activity for a worthy cause, raising money to save the lives of homeless pets. It's fun for families and builds camaraderie among pet lovers! Above all, it's an event you will feel good about being a part of.
Come down to Tempe Town Lake on February 21st at 1:00 PM with your dog(s) to participate in the 5K or 1-mile walk. DLRR will also have a booth at the event for Lab Meet and Greets.
DLRR is accepting donations on our Team Page to meet our goal of raising $2,000 for the medical expenses and care of our Labs. You can also help us raise money by joining our team! Click here, then click on the "JOIN TEAM" button in the black bar at the top of the list of team members.
DLRR could use some Kuranda beds for our dogs. A Kuranda bed is a cot-style bed made for the home, yard, kennel or shelter. They are chew-proof, made of sturdy PVC frames with heavy-duty, 40-ounce, vinyl fabric that is easily cleaned. And Kuranda has agreed to discount by 30 percent the beds purchased for our rescue and others, making the cost only $92 + shipping.
If you can’t adopt a Lab now, the next best thing might be to make a DLRR Lab more comfortable. Donate a meaningful, long-lasting gift that will help DLRR dogs for years to come. A Kuranda dog bed will provide a dry, soft, comfortable place for them to sleep.
Please help us reach the goal we are working so hard to achieve by making as generous a donation as you can. Please remember that we gratefully accept stocks, bonds, mutual funds and monthly contributions.
